My Idea Terms of Use
This English version is a translation provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails, and in Quebec, the French version.
Last updated: October 8, 2026 Who provides the service: Alexis Garcia Hurtado, a sole proprietorship registered in Quebec, Canada ("we"). Merchant's mailing address: it will be published here as soon as it is confirmed; in the meantime, you can write to us at support@myideaproject.com.
1. What My Idea is
My Idea helps you turn an idea into a plan and carry it out: it puts your idea in order, interviews you with guided questions, writes your plan with artificial intelligence and supports you as you put it into action. By using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the features that consume credits. You can write your idea and receive your Clarity without an account, with an invisible identity that moves to your account when you create it.
- We ask you to accept these terms and the Privacy Policy the first time you send your idea, even without an account, and again every time they change; we keep the version you accepted and its date, and if you create your account that record moves to it.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You can turn on two-step verification.
- During the beta, access may be limited to invited people.
- You can delete your account whenever you want from the account center.
3. Your ideas are yours
- Everything you write or dictate, and the plans and documents the app generates for you, are yours.
- You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and show them to you for the sole purpose of providing the service to you, including sending them to the providers that make it possible (see the Privacy Policy). We do not use them for other purposes or share them with other users.
- If you delete your account, that permission ends.
4. What My Idea is not
- It is not legal, tax, accounting or technical advice. For contracts, taxes, accounting or software architecture, consult a professional in your jurisdiction.
- It does not replace a human consultant. My Idea provides method, not professional responsibility.
- It does not certify. The quality, safety and environment worlds teach the discipline; they do not certify or replace an accredited audit.
- Your numbers are estimates based on the figures you provide; they do not replace formal accounting or tax advice.
- Regulations change by country and over time: check anything that affects your case against the official source.
- AI-generated content may contain errors. Review your plan carefully before acting.
5. Prices, credits and taxes
- Some actions use prepaid credits. There is no subscription and there are no automatic charges. The price of each action is the one the app shows before you start it.
- Reservation and charge: when you start an action that uses the AI, its price is reserved from your balance; if you abandon it, the reservation expires on its own. You are only charged when the AI delivers what was promised. A plan put together without AI (for example, because of a technical limit) is delivered free of charge (we let you know), and you can ask for it to be generated again. If something fails after a charge, it is refunded automatically.
- Logging your progress, your notes, your documents and your logbook is included: it is never charged separately.
- During the beta, credits are granted manually and buying credits with money is not enabled. Once it is, the payment processor's terms will also apply.
- Credits currently have no expiry date in the system. How they are handled (refund, withdrawal, expiry) is governed by Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
- Credits are personal and cannot be transferred to another account.
- Taxes: Alexis Garcia Hurtado is registered for consumption taxes: GST/HST (TPS/TVH) 72180 8434 RT0001 and QST (TVQ) 4056093040 TQ0001, both in effect since April 7, 2026. Once buying credits with money is enabled, the applicable taxes will be shown next to the price of the credits.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use My Idea for illegal activities, to try to access other people's accounts, to overload the service or to get around usage limits. We may suspend an account that does so, notifying you when possible.
7. Our content
The app, its design and its knowledge catalog are ours; your ideas and your documents are yours (see section 3).
8. Availability and changes
My Idea is in beta: it may change, have interruptions or stop offering a feature. We do our best to make sure you never lose your progress or your credits because of a failure on our side.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Quebec law, we are not responsible for the decisions you make based on the app's content (see section 4). Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.
10. Termination
You can stop using My Idea and delete your account at any time. We may end the service with reasonable advance notice; in that case, we will give you a reasonable period to download your documents and we will inform you about any credits you have not used.
11. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. They exist in French, which is the reference version, and in other languages as translations, in accordance with the Charter of the French Language.
